As a SAHM, when I started straightening my life, building a positive morning routine and having a healthy & timely breakfast were the first things I worked upon.
The fact that breakfast is the first meal we have after the longest gap of a full night in our day. So feeding your body healthy & tasty stuff is of utmost importance.
What Easy Breakfasts to Make as a Stay at Home Mom?
While I do my meal planning for the week, I always focus on having a balanced diet that has its fair share of vegetables & fruits in it. I also make sure to have at least apart of the meal as raw. For breakfast, it is always some fruits cut or in the form of a smoothie, which is on the table.
And this is the rule we follow even on our holidays and vacations. This is a pic of one of our holidays and my little one sitting on the table waiting for his strawberry banana smoothie & cheese omelette to reach him.
A lot of what we are depends on what we eat, however, Health is not just about eating right. Health is about living right. Having a well-disciplined morning routine in place that you live by at least 90 percent of your days goes a long way in being a healthy and happy mom.
And when I started my journey of being a SAHM, I struggled a lot initially because of lack of focus on any kind of routine. Over the years of improvisation, I have now got the hang of what I want, what keeps me happy, and how I need to live my life.

These dishes are always accompanied by fresh fruits, a healthy drink and some sides to make it more wholesome & nourishing for the body.
1. Egg Spinach Muffin
A basic baked recipe made with egg, some pieces of bread roughly torn, a little bit of milk, chopped spinach, onions tomatoes, cut mushroom and seasonings of your choice and bake it in an oven. I usually bake these in the muffin cups and hence call these as egg spinach muffins.
You can get creative with adding some cut sausages along with this too. Along with this having potato wedges or hash browns, a slice of bread (yeasted or sourdough) and a fruit and nut smoothie to end it all.
2. Breakfast Quesadillas
This is a very versatile dish as you can get creative and get in all kinds of fillings. I usually make 3 peppers with chicken and cheese quesadillas at home.
Another variation can be a spinach Corn stuffing along with cheese.
3. Frittata
Onion Capsicum tomatoes loaded with egg and cheese and baked to perfection. This is a healthy and yum breakfast option that I usually do up on weekends. This is accompanied at my house with some toasted bread and almond cookies.
4. Scrambled Eggs with Toast
I find this one as the easiest breakfast to make. Scrambled eggs with onions, green chilies & tomatoes served with a multigrain sourdough toast.
5. Chickpea flour & Spinach Savoury Pancakes
Another healthy and protein-rich recipe with a fair amount of greens in form of chopped spinach in it. These savoury pancakes are loved by everyone in my family and hence I make it very often. It has a very little preparation and cooking time and hence can be dished out in a jiffy too.
6. Stuffed Rice & lentils Pancake (Indian Dosa)
This one is an Indian preparation of fermented rice and lentil batter. Poor it on a. hot iron skillet and the dosa is ready. on days when I am planning to serve brunch, I do go for a filling of potato or cottage cheese inside. This is usually served in India with coconut dip and a spicy lentil preparation called sambhar.
I love this for its health and nutritious value and fermented foods are always good & easy for digestion. I usually make this at least twice a month.
And this goes well as a dinner recipe too as it is light on the stomach and is easily digestible being a fermented preparation. 7. Grilled Sandwich
This needs no introduction. Stuff anything in the bread and load it with cheese and grill. Voila! a yummy and cheesy breakfast is bound to get the sparkle in the eyes and smile on your kid’s face.
I usually make a vegetable version as well as chicken stuffed grilled sandwiches in my kitchen. However, for breakfast it is usually the vegetarian one. The chicken one when I make; it is usually for supper in the evenings.
I serve it with potato fries or wedges and cold coffee or a rose milkshake and I am sorted for the morning.
8. Pancakes With fruit
Pancakes with honey and fruit of your choice make up for a great option that brings in the lovely smiles on my kids’ faces right in the morning. I usually serve this with butterscotch milkshake and sprouts to add in the required protein component for the breakfast.
9. Cinnamon Rolls
I make this as my sourdough preparation and the predominant taste is of cinnamon sugar. Sometimes I also glaze it with cream cheese icing too. And sometimes its basic chocolate spread on the top of Cinnabons.
10. Crepes with sweet or savoury Stuffing
Another easy recipe to make for breakfast is a sweet French crepe. Top it with marmalade or fresh fruits of your choice and maple syrup or chocolate syrup and it is ready to be served.
You can also be creative and make savoury fillings for the crepes. However, I most often go with the sweet fillings since my kids enjoy that more.
11. Bread and Cheese Casserole
This is a recipe that involves using all kinds of leftovers. From chicken to sausages, leftover bread to curry from mushrooms to broccoli from tomatoes to peppers. Anything can go in it with the right seasoning and cheese and bake it. The yum breakfast casserole is ready to dig in.
12. Quiche
A pie crust with meat, seasonings of your choice, egg, milk and cheese. This is all you need to dish our yummy quiche for the family in the morning.
13. French Toasts
This French delicacy is made by dipping bread in egg and shallow frying it on a girdle. It is served with honey/maple syrup and choice of fruit and whipped cream. It makes for a perfect weekend breakfast for my family.
14. Pineapple upside-down cake
This basic cake with caramelized pineapple slices at the bottom of the pan makes up for a lovely breakfast over the weekend. This cake I make as breakfast and sometimes also as an evening snack for my kids. I just use whole wheat as well as white flour mixed in the recipe because this takes care of the fibre content of the food going in their tummies.
15. Oats in a Jar
Oats soaked overnight in almond milk and served in small jars filled with fruit and honey is a yum breakfast that provides energy and nutrients too. I like to add chia seeds too in my oats in the jar.
16. Tomato Cheese Braided bread
This is again a sourdough preparation. However can be easily made with yeast. Tomato, cheese, and garlic shape it as a braided bread and bake. This goes well with any kind of soups.
17. Banana Bread
This simple yet delicious breakfast is made using bananas egg and whole wheat flour. Add in chopped walnuts or flavour it with chocolate chips and we have the perfect cake to go with the tea. I usually serve this along with something savoury like fried eggs or cheese chilli toasts.
18. Churros with cinnamon sugar
This Spanish delicacy has made into my home when we visited London on our holiday a few years back. We first tasted churros there and loved the taste of cinnamon sugar in it. I tried searching for the recipe and have now perfected it over the years. It is easy to make and all in my family just love it.
19. Egg Omlette
Egg with onions tomato and cheese made as an omelette is my go-to weekday breakfast. reason being that it can be prepared in a jiffy and is wholesome and filling for the kids to spend the first 3 hours of the day nicely.
20. Indian stuffed bread with yoghurt
This is purely an Indian preparation and requires a particular level of skill to make it. However, I have been making these since I started learning to cook at the age of 12. So I am pretty proficient in talking these stuffers bread that are more commonly called as parathas in India.
The filling and stuffings can be creatively varied. From potato to cauliflower, from radish to pumpkin you can be as creative as you want.
22. Boiled egg with sausages and baked beans
Boil some eggs and serve with pan-roasted sausages and baked beans. Add on a freshly baked loaf of bread and your breakfast is ready.
23. Banana Peanut Butter Oats cookies
Cookies that are made with healthy ingredients are great to serve to your kids and families. Accompany it with cereals, milk and savory pancakes.
24. Spinach Corn Stuffed Sourdough Bread
This sumptuous delight is not only easy and fun to make with kids, but is also a very delicious breakfast idea. To achieve the appreciation from your kids it will take nothing but a bread filled with a mixture of spinach corn and cheese baked and served hot.
25. Pull apart Pesto Rolls
These easy to make pesto rolls are sure to delight your kid’s taste buds. Your child would love to make these messy yet delicious pesto rolls with you. All it takes is dough rolled with pesto sauce and cheese to create this yummy breakfast delights.
26. Mix veg fritters
This delicacy is easy yet fun to make. This is a great idea to make on a weekend for breakfast. For making this delicacy you would require different vegetables which can be dipped in a mixture of chickpea flour, water and spices and then deep-fried.
27. Steamed Savoury Rice Cakes(Idli)
This Indian, healthy recipe is made from fermented batter of rice and lentils steamed. It is served with a coconut dip and a spicy lentil curry known as sambhar.

We all have those hurried mornings where we just can’t think of anything but cereal. We have a solution to your problem. This easy to make yet tasty breakfast can be made by blending together a banana, some strawberries, and some milk.

This fresh and delicious cake is very easy to make and is sure to make your kids love you. You can find a lot of easy recipes on the internet which uses the things you would already have in your pantry.

These are super easy to make and my kids love it. To make these savory delights you just make a mixture of millets, water and spices. Then shallow fry it in the pan. Your kids are sure to love this new kind of pancake.
